[ wandering around outside has pretty much been alex's whole deal this weekend, but when she spots mob she slows her pacing for a moment.

[He's a little startled, because he's completely zoned out and lost in thought, but that's. Fairly typical. But when he looks up at her, he relaxes.

He never knows how to answer a question like that.]

she sort of. awkwardly? probably awkwardly, pats his shoulder slightly before letting her hand drop. ]

Sorry, that's a bit of a cruel thing to ask after everything that's happened.

It's not your fault that Kano chose to fight back.

People might as well get mad at me for not making sure I got all the scalpels from him after he finished checking Sharon's body, if they're going to get mad at anything.

[He looks really relieved to hear her say that - that she's not angry with him. It's not that he minds others being angry, but not knowing or understanding is awful for someone as awkward at reading others' cues as he is.]

I didn't expect him to do that. But I don't hate him for doing it, either. I don't think it's his fault, either.

No. I don't either.

... We messed up on Saturday. It was only ever going to be a terrible situation. They were both innocent, after all.

It's not bad to want to help someone like that.

I wanted to use my gem to help whoever was killed, but it being Kano-san. . . I just think others didn't understand him very well.

[Oh - he's going to well up? Just a little.]

I'm not sure I understood him very well, either, but I wanted to.

[ her hand hovers uncertainly, but after a moment she gently strokes mob's hair. ]

It's okay. I... don't think I knew him very well either. Not as much as I would've liked. [ ... ] I'm not sure he wanted anyone to, though.

But that doesn't mean I wanted him hurt. Or to see him die.

[She can do that. He's not himself touchy, but he doesn't have any problem with people touching him.]

Some people are like that. You can't really force them to talk about themselves, huh? It defeats the point.

week 3, tuesday

[ second day in, and alex is back in the village... still looking at the animals in the pens. specifically the sheep -- one of which she is trying incredibly hard to coax over so she can pet it.

it's... not going amazingly well for her, honestly. ]

Come on... how do you even call a sheep anyway, it's not like a cat...

[ ... ]

Heerrre sheepy, sheepy....

[ this is just embarrassing, sorry you have to see this mob. ]

[Oh, he understands. He'll stand near her and call the sheep, too.]

Here, Mr. Sheep!

[ -- oh! Well. This is a little awkward. Especially when one of the sheep just immediately nyooms over to Mob for pets. ]

Hello there. You seem to have more of a talent for this than I do.

[He's so happy! Petting Mr. Sheep, but then looking at his hand.]

Oh, right.

It wasn't listening to me, I know that much.

[ she lifts a hand to sneak in a gentle pet or two. sheep soft. sheep good. ]

... Hm? You okay?

I can't feel their fur.

[Sad.]

[chanteuser]

[ mob that might genuinely be the worst thing she's heard today. ]

Oh no, your senses...?

[ she stops petting the sheep and turns to him, holding out her hand. ] Here, take my hand. See if you can feel it?
