But it feels a bit convenient to just leave it at that, doesn't it? Or, maybe it's better to say it feels a bit too dangerous to just assume and leave it at that.

[she was in the midst of pouring two cups of tea, but her hands still around the pot. for a moment, she's quiet]

At this point, it seems foolish to make assumptions either way. We simply don't have enough information to come to any conclusions at all.

Even the leaders aren't entirely sure what happened on Thursday night.

Only a bit more. They were as unprepared for this weekend as we were. And as they were asleep on Thursday night just as we were, even they don't know what truly transpired between Master Virid and Lady Hajime.

[she says that quietly]

Oh, no. Definitely only a bit more. I believe them when they say they don't really know what's going on either.

The list with the different animals? Yes, I saw it.

Wolf was 1st, and ... Goat was last?

That's correct. And how did Wolf's team manage to clench first place?

At this point there's enough of us that some of the groups can't have lost anyone though. Depending on how it's sorted, the order -- or the upper half of the list, I guess -- could just be random. Couldn't it?

But it's safe to assume at least one of the three that died was part of Goat's team, yeah.

No. I don't think that it is.

I believe that Master Virid was a member of Wolf's team.

But he died as well, shouldn't that drop Wolf down in the rankings?

I'm not certain. I didn't ask that question of my Leader.

But perhaps I should the next time I speak with them.

I'll check with mine as well. If the rankings change this week we might have more of an idea, and then we can discuss what they've told us and see if it matches?
