How did you phrase it? I think this can be a bit ambiguous, depending on the words you use.

Normally you'd ask something more along the lines of if they like you, or specifically if the like you as something other than a friend.

I can say I enjoy your company, but it's very different to you asking someone you like if they enjoy your company.

... Well, another option is to weigh up what you have to lose by saying it and what you have to lose if you don't. Izumo... you obviously like whoever it is enough to want to look good around them, and have them acknowledge that...
