[ there is an eyeball licking lizard on the loose. and honestly, alex doesn't get a lot of choice in whether she follows it or not because her little t-rex has just seen a distant cousin and is On It.
[the lizard seems tot have sensed its ancient cousin's pursuit, and has suitably lit itself on fire?? in celebration. oh, no, that's fear. it's terrified.
it puffs a miniature fireball at the t-rex, and zips into elsa's room!!!
[ oh dear. alex makes a dash to try and grab her lil' t-rex but the t-rex is already sort of. tumbling out of the way. so she scoops her up and holds her instead -- where the t-rex kicks her little feets grumpily. ]
... ?
[ she knocks on elsa's door, even if it is ajar. ]
[there's no immediate response—but the lizard seems to be tippy-tapping around inside, giving alex an expectant look. he mlems his eye again, and zips up the bunk bed to the top bunk, diving under the blankets.
there's a pause, and then a hiss of steam, like water on a hotplate.]
[ she barely has time to note elsa looks like she's been crying, before she's thrown into that memory and--
well.
the horse isn't a surprise because elsa had mentioned it before, it must be the one she mentioned right? the norr? there are a few moments of fear when she sees elsa go flying in the memory, hitting the water, being dragged under currents and then--
she's back in the room, wide eyed and surprised. ]

there is a flash of purple by the door of the inn, though. something fast-moving.]

it's running into the inn for a family reunion.

alex shimmeys through the door and peeks around. ]
Is that a friend of yours?
no subject
well, she looks like she's been crying a lot. the room is full of bubbles—and as soon as she sees alex, she gasps.]
No!
You shouldn't be in here! If one of the bubbles--!
[pop!
hey, it's the water horse! also, this clip is sped up, so... that's something.]

...That one wasn't as bad.

It's been like this all week, huh? [ is this better or worse than when their emotions were being broadcast for all to feel? ]
Sorry, your lizard was running around and I didn't know what it was. I did knock, but---

[she pushes her hair out of her face, and leans on her hand. she doesn't look fine!]
no subject
You don't seem fine.
... You said that one wasn't a bad one. Other people have seen worse?
no subject
[she struggles again, and gives up.]
I can't see most of them. I don't really... know what you're seeing. Everything is a blur—a fuzzy noise.
no subject
A few of mine have been like that. It seems like it's ... probably memories this place has already taken from us.
I might recognise someone in them, but not... what was happening, or why.

[...]
I've lost everyone.

no subject
They're all gone.
no subject
All of them? You... literally don't remember anyone at all?
no subject
No one.
Just... people. Other people that I... I know them, but they're not my... important people.
no subject
That's....
I'm so sorry, Elsa.
no subject
It's all... fine.
[sigh.]
It's probably best if you don't stay. I'm not particularly good company, at the moment.
no subject
And I don't mind if you're "good company" or not -- I don't think hiding away here by yourself is going to help either.
no subject
I don't think anything is going to help, Alex.
That's the truth. So... I just want to be alone, for a while.
