[ Alphinaud is returning back from the space station, so he kinda just... suddenly appears walking back over the bridge back in town. People come and go, of course, but he stops suddenly in surprise when he spots who's standing there. ]

—You're back up walking?

[chanteuser]

[ sometimes you just have to chill sadly on a bridge because two people are dead and you got on pretty well with one of them ]

Hm? Oh... yes. I was just tired before, and it’s wearing off now.

[arcsplainist]

[ yea ]

Last I saw, you were... [ He trails off, then shakes his head. ] No, if you are well enough to be out and about, then full glad I am to see you are feeling better.

[chanteuser]

[ anais go to bed you need trial energy ]

I... didn’t expect to be knocked out as hard as I was, but I did get a bigger hit of whatever it was that made Sora and I so tired than I meant to.

[ considering the state they all emerged in, her being unconscious probably wasn’t a bad thing ]

[ glances away ]

—Tired? That is why?

[ And here he was expecting a worse off reason! Though, that doesn't explain the injuries. ]

... Well, I know not what happened to you four, but surely you needed the rest afterward.

[chanteuser]

There was a gas? Up in the vents. We were trying to figure out where we were and if the consoles had an information and ended up turning off the ventilation system. [ as you do. ]

There was a keycard in one of the vents, so we had to go up there to get it. [ and she didn’t have a jacket to put over her mouth. the injuries are fine. it’s fine. they’re fine. ]

I feel like I’ve been resting a bit...? Although waking up like this was... um. Unexpected. [ wow she sure has more new bandages on that she would’ve had on at any point after coming back to the plaza and getting initially treated, huh? ]

[arcsplainist]

[ Ah... huh. He thinks he gets it; this space station stuff is way beyond him, truth be told. ]

I can only imagine. Much about this place has been—jarring, to say the least, yet nothing quite compares to what I've heard from both your groups so far.

[ Aside from like, the deaths and all. ]

[chanteuser]

[ ALPHY your MEDIEVAL-ish FANTASY LIFE. ]

It was... more than I expected. I don’t really know what happened to Blanca and Shiro. We separated quite early on, and I was with Sora for most of the time.

[arcsplainist]

Hm... I heard the same about the other four. 'Twould seem that you all were separated intentionally, as if someone had willed it so.

[arcsplainist]

[ Should Alex wander off near the waterfall for any reason during the afternoon, chances are she'll find Alphinaud sitting nearby the river. In his lap sits a sketchbook, and he appears focused on working in it. ]

[chanteuser]

[ hovering dangerously on the edge of a waterfall is her favourite thing to do, actually. so she's probably coming up there to sit for a bit herself. ]

-- Oh. I'm not interrupting you, am I?

[arcsplainist]

Hm?

[ He looks up. ]

—Ah, Alex! Good afternoon. You are fine; I am only passing the time here.

[chanteuser]

It's a good place to pass time.

[ she will sit! seeing as she's not intruding, apparently. ]

Although just be careful of the leopard.

[arcsplainist]

[ Nope! Come join him. ]

All should be well, if left alone. 'Tis not going about attacking others, is it?

Iiiiii don't think so? But it's also not been happy we're here, I don't think.

As is the wont of some wild beasts. I do know to ware my step, at the very least, though it seems to be clear around here for now.

That's good then. I don't want to be antagonising the local wildlife that much. [ especially after fighting a dinosaur and adjacently an elephant yesterday ]

week 6, sunday post execution

[ so many of these pcs are just happening on a beach not fair from where ange slit dorothy's throat in front of god and everyone. love that. ]

[ hello there little elf boi. ]

[ it's GREAT

And yet... He's here? Seated on the sand much like he was earlier, when he refused to board one of the boats, arms wrapped around his knees. It's a tranquil sight when you ignore what occurred hours ago. Alphinaud gazes off, but when he hears a voice, he lifts his chin. ]

—Oh, Alex. 'Tis good to see you.

[chanteuser]

[ ...

she drops down to sit next to him, and bumps his leg with her knee. ]

You can say it's not if you're feeling low, you know.

[arcsplainist]

[ He forces through a tiny smile. ]

I will not deny I am, but it is fine—I will be well. Perhaps some good company is in order, anyroad.

[chanteuser]

[ well, at least an attempt was made. ]

-- even if we're coming up to what's probably the end, it still feels like a lot is happening, doesn't it?

[arcsplainist]

Aye. There is still much and more ahead of us, I wager. We cannot allow us to lower our guards just yet.

[chanteuser]

It's coming up on the end now, isn't it? We just have to take things as they come.

[ ... as serious as the conversation is, she's silent for a moment before nudging him in the side. ]

[ He gives her a sidelong glance, puzzled. ]
