[ she's still got her hands tangled in his hair, framing his face when she drops back to look at him properly. ]

But-- what happened? [ they all saw emet-selch fall off a whole cliff, but now--? ] He's alive, and he... [ shouldn't have been. ]

[ her right thumb brushes his cheekbone, almost absently. like she's trying to convince herself that somehow this... all worked out. he's still here, and this nightmare of a weekend didn't end in some sort of utterly unresolvable tragedy across the board. ]

I really don't know. A pretty little bird told me that things might be okay, but...that's all I was aware of.

[Jokes on everyone!! He's just as much in the dark as you guys!!]

Hey, don't worry. You see, things turned out alright. He's still here. I'm still here.

[ .... she just stares at him. and then she almost deflates, her head dropping onto his shoulder and she wraps her arms around him and just. hugs him. her shoulders shake slightly. ]

I know. I know... [ something went right. for once. just one thing but, it's something ]

I'm just-- I'm relieved. For both of you. When you got called up, I thought-- [ ... ]

I thought this place was too cruel. But maybe something here isn't so bad.

[robopriest]

[Hansa lets her move in, his arms moving to embrace her as well, warmly.]

You see? We just need to keep up a little bit of hope. Its a good omen, this whole thing.

[He moves to kiss the top of her head.]

We're going to get through this.

[ she nods, against his shoulder. ]

... it feels a little more possible, yeah. [ less out of reach, at least. ]

[ she straigthens up, lifting her chin so she can kiss his cheek. there's a smile on her face, and it's tired and small but it's full of relief. ]

Thank you. And I'm so glad you didn't lose him.

[robopriest]

I'm glad, too.

[It's a relief, it is. That everything worked out, that they can stand here and be happy, and not depressed or upset.]

[He bends down to place a kiss on her cheek, too.]

I like it when you smile.

[ she just laughs at that, her face going a bit pink. ]

I like it when you smile too. And when you're happy. [ and when this place isn't kicking him while he's down. ]

[ oh... right, she almost forgot. ]

Rabbit. By the way. At this point, it feels weird to not tell you. [ she doesn't really mind if he can't or doesn't want to tell her back. it's probably obvious, anyway. ]

[robopriest]

Rabbit? [And he laughs.] That fits. I'm Tiger, myself.

[He reaches up to tuck a bit of hair behind her ear.]

I guess that was pretty obvious.

That’s pretty fitting as well.

[ she leans into his hand, but there’s a look of concern on her face a moment later ]

Is Tiger okay? There’s that rule about rankings and leaders now...

[robopriest]

I need to find out. I hope they are, because they've...been at the bottom for so long. I was actually dreading that it would happen again, but at least they're not last.

[He just lets his hand sit there, against her cheek.]

I'll have to talk with them and see what's up.

[ right.... it had been a few weeks hadn’t it ]

Were the effects of that showing on them?

[ ... ] Figuring out how nova changes the rankings is still... confusing. But even if we knew there would always be someone dealing with the effects of low ranking.
