I got my other job by chance but... I don’t mind it. At least people enjoy music, and I can do something with that to help them out.

Well, blessings come in different forms. Sometimes they come on the backs of things that don't look very much like blessings at all.

You just have to find your own happiness, sometimes, in a chaotic world.

That makes blessing sound like a high risk/high reward deal, rather than a spontaneous good thing happening to you.

Mm. You're not wrong. You can't pin your happiness on someone else and hope things will turn out well.

Haha, no, not quite like that. I mean it more like blessings come packaged in different forms. Hope was at the bottom of a box filled with the world's despairs, in Pandora's box.

Exactly. [His thumb makes little circles over the back of her hand.] The most important thing is to find joy even if you're on your own. You can never sink into despair, that way.

That's a very small amount of hope to counter a lot of despair.
