It was... like a lab? There were lots of tubes with... human-like things inside them. There was a decontamination chamber, and observation chamber and a lot of smaller rooms as well. One of them was a bedroom?

Yes. Pretty much. There were all these test tubes around the place — big ones, but almost everything in them was dead, or unresponsive.
When finally got to use the lift, we got cornered by something else pretty much as soon as we got to the top floor. It kept talking to us, and trying to look human and there wasn’t anything we could do to stop it. We both passed out and when I woke up we were back out here again.

... It was difficult to make out? But I think it was - "Do you believe you can change destiny? Time has already been written... There's nothing you can do now, is there? Except try again. But you'll never make it..."
And just before we passed out, it said "Not yet. But remember, this is your last chance."
