Oh, I got it patched up by a professional. [ she smiles. ] It's just going to be a pain to walk around for a bit, but it could've been worse.

I'd like to think I'm not heartless enough to let someone who was stabbed just fend for herself.

[ Dorothy says this rather dryly, but Alex can probably feel the amusement and the concern from her as she reaches out to take her bandana back.]

I feel rather like we got the short end of the stick, however.

The swamp probably wasn't the best choice of location. [ the LEECHES? ] But half the group seemed to have a great time. Ish.

It's certainly true that I've never met a man so enthused to fight an alligator or to fling himself out a window.

Apparently Hansa fought a bear last week. Maybe this was just a logical step up?

[ haha. ] And I think money's a pretty big motivator for Rufus. I guess we probably should've seen that one coming.

... Probably. I think I did, but for matters like that, it's best to just let him do his thing and do damage control later.

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen him that happy. At all?

... but I guess it didn’t hurt to just let him do his own thing, yeah.

He's very stoic, certainly. But I'm glad if he was happy for at least a while.

Or he's good at pretending he is. [ emotions week is wild, y'all. ] But it worked in our favour and he seemed to have a good time.

[ Dorothy only has a smile to offer at that. ]

So did Hansa. I hadn't known he'd fought a bear, but having seen his glee, I would certainly believe it.

It was probably better he dealt with it, and it seemed to cheer him up so I guess everything worked out.

[ rufus got cash money, hansa got to fight a reptile, dorothy and alex just got injured. is that fair? probably not. ]

We could do with some more cheerfulness around here.

Oh, I don’t disagree with that. I’m... actually surprised that every seems to get along quite well here, apart from the part where some people keep murdering. [ a small detail, really ]

... Truthfully, I am as well. It's a pity that the situation appears to be worsening.

There must be some sort of motivation behind it. I can't imagine a group of diverse people would be inclined to it if there wasn't something else.

If it is to do with memories, then... I would say that would be a strong enough motivator for some.

[misstrust]

... Well, it's true that no one wants to lose their memories. And the memory itself might be incredibly important.

It might depend on the person as well. I don't want to lose all of memories, but I don't like the idea of killing someone to prevent that either.
