It's... an unsettling feeling. It feels a bit like betrayal, just forgetting alone. [ so... imagine there being someone you were romantically linked to, and then you remembered your dead wife. ]

I cannot say I agree with the sentiment myself, but... 'tis an unsettling thing, to lose and to know that remembering means one may forget again.

Someone said to me that the memories I don't remember, from before I got here, might be safer than the ones I do.

I think they're right. The Realm can't take away what I don't remember. And at least I know those will come back, in their own time.

I knew that he had a wife, and that she had passed. And given what he told me about her, it seemed the type of memory that would be robbed eventually.
