[Again, that same emotion of it's no big deal, really, but it's not quite humbleness, though. Its more like her calling it out makes him want to just put it aside. Maybe because it just reminds him of his own mistake.]

[ well. there’s certainly nothing accusatory in her emotions, or anything to suggest she’s holding some of grudge or blame over hansa’s head. weirdly, there’s almost a familiarity there —- like she understands what he’s saying well enough to be immediately concerned or exasperated by the idea. ]

Still. [ she’s still holding her pen so she gets a free pass for tapping him on the side of the head with it. take that rule 9. ] Just because it’s normal for you doesn’t mean people stop worrying.

[He blinks at her tapping his cheek, glancing aside - its hard to decipher his feelings here, a mixture of a mildly exasperated feeling of its fine, some disconcerted emotion at being called out, and a mite of fondness, at the same time.]

[ there's a whole lot of exasperation on her end, with a similar mix of -- well just something that's entirely the equivalent of "???" in emotional form, and fondness in there as well.

You're welcome. But I should probably be the one thanking you. Again. [ her challenge next week is to not do something that gets her injured, and ends with her being carried away by hansa. ]

[He smiles, but there's definitely an undertone of guilt, there.]

It is literally not your fault a bird somehow managed to spit a sword into my leg, y'know.

If you hadn't helped I'd have spent about an hour trying to get out of that house, what with all the birds. And snakes. And the fighting they were doing. [ while bleeding. she'd probably have just laid there and bled on the floor. ]

Still, how was fighting an alligator? That's two weeks running you've got to beat up the local fauna, right?

I think it was a crocodile, but not sure. Honestly, it was pretty good. I'd be fine if it was a recurring experience.

Eh, the snakes were annoying, but its hardly like there's a lot of flesh and bone to bite.
